The Song of the Caged Bird|| Hospital Violin Buddies
@mrsimongrass
It was early in the morning as Ellie took advantage of not feeling a peak of fatigue at the moment. She never knew when the fatigue would hit, the dizziness and complete loss of all motivation, so when it wasn’t around, the redhead took as much of an advantage as she could.Â
Her feet lead her to the park, the ginger enjoying the morning dew that attached itself to her skin and the lingering fog that wrapped around her. It was a beauty she never experienced much back in the states and one that brought about a sense of calmness, melted all those impending thoughts of upcoming surgery and her cancer that were clouding her mind. She had reached her destination parking herself on the nearest bench.
There didn’t seem to be much of anyone around, which was fine. Ellie had her violin case in hand, and had opened it to take out the cherished instrument, because of the cancer-related fatigue she hadn’t been able to play much, so now was her chance, maybe the birds would be her lovely audience.Â
Without hesitation she began to play a Lindsey Stirling composition, the song beautifully spilling from her violin. Ellie had been so lost in the piece that she hadn’t notice that there actually was someone else with her in the park. Stopping once she realized the stranger’s presence, she offered him a smile. “Oh, hi there! I’m sorry... I hadn’t noticed that anyone else was around.”
