I was rereading SDJ once again and I got stuck for a bit on the fact that reader had talked about how she likes it a little rough.

With your blurb about Simon getting turned on by the thought of overpowering her, is that going to be something we get to see them discuss?

Obviously Simon is a massive man and could hurt pretty much anyone even if he wasn’t trying. But do you think the reader might be able to give him a taste of what it is that he’s turned on by?

Just the other day I was daydreaming about this scenario in the SDJ universe. "Nah, not gonna happen," I said to myself, foolishly, like a fool. Thought Simon was never going to get to that point - there's just not enough time! But then -

This concept has been in the works for a long time. I always put in little pieces of things that Could Be, in the hopes that I’ll have a convenient plot point months down the road, and this is one that’s naturally lined itself up without any conscious decision to make it happen.

Ghost is doing much better at trusting himself, Reader is into it, and Johnny is around to make sure—

I think one of the obvious reasons people love Ghoap for traumatized Simon is because Soap can take pretty much anything. He’s a sturdy dude, it’s not much of a stretch to imagine that recovery!Ghost enjoys being intimate with him because he doesn’t have to worry all the time. He can sort of handle him however he wants, and it makes for a good story.

So that’s what I find intriguing about SDJ, allowing Ghost to sort of do it “the hard way.” Careful, and gentle, and purposeful, and finding a sort of empowerment through that. He does have control of himself, the voices don’t define him, and it’s okay to relax the leash in a safe environment.

I think both sides of the coin make sense with his character, and I can’t wait for the next part. (I have fully decided to go to like 25 chapters at this time, there’s just too much I want to write)
