Simon’s text is enough to alarm her. The two of them are supposed to be ignoring each other. It’s not even that she’s mad at him, she’s pretty sure he’s not even mad at her anymore either, more so that their last encounter was too awkward for each other to face one another afterwards. She’s supposed to be heading to work in an hour but she calls out without a second to spare. This is the second time she’s had to face Simon with nerves bundling up in her stomach and it’s not exactly a condition she wants to get accostomed to but she heads out anyway, taking a bus to his house before she walks the rest of the way there. When she arrives the door’s already opened, Simon’s mom letting her in just as she’s walking out and she thanks her with a small smile before heading to the familiar path of his room, knocking on the door lightly. “Simon? It’s me, Aria.”
