would eldritchrune kralsei ever work out?
I mean "immortal demon who literally owns the soul of a traumatized older teen" is, uh, probably gonna be a relationship dynamic with some inherent issues. Buuut hey, if that's your bag!

So I get if you don't (because you already said the major plot beats are set) but is Flowery going to show up in eldritchrune? and, more importantly, is Ralsei going to have beef with him?
Again, I don't know yet, I'll get to it when/if I get some good ideas for Eldritchrune. I don't want to try and force them!
Will the forgotten man/egg room man have any relevance in Eldritchrune? Or will he simply be an easter egg?
Also, I really love your designs for the cast of ER!! I find them to be super creative and inspiring :) Iβm super excited to see what other ideas you have cooking up for the AU and what youβll do in the future
I think the Forgotten Man will get a real brief little easter egg appearance. Not where you expect, though!
But thank you so much, I'm so glad that you've been enjoying all the designs for the AU! :D They're so fun to do!
does kris ever just die of natural causes and the monsters don't notice until like a day after they died
If you mean in Eldritchrune, Ralsei knows right away if Kris dies, so it's not really something that can go unnoticed. They get revived right away!
Although if you mean just more mundane deaths in general, then probably their most ordinary/embarrassing death was food poisoning.
Little art update
Hey all, just a note here to say that if you're waiting on a new Eldritchrune part, you may have to be patient for it! After chapter five, I got a short color comic idea that I have to get out of my brain somehow or I'll scream and explode, so that's going to take priority for awhile. My intention is still to finish ER before chapter six, but yeah, I have Ideas and Feelings about some things that I just gotta tackle first! Thanks for your patience!

Eldritchrune Idea: Eldritchrune Flowery, the God of Nature and Temptation. Body is like an even more nature-themed Omega Flowey, with elements of Flowery.
Again, please let me figure out my own designs and ideas for Eldritchrune, if they happen! I much prefer doing that if I'm going to incorporate them into the AU!
Ehhh the jokes are fun and all, but I think if you're going to actually say that Ralsei is a plant, you might as well go for the thematically appropriate one and involve roots.
Moss growing all over the town would be pretty funny though
This has been the most popular take on what Ralsei is since the very first chapter, and it's one I'm still clinging on to a bit by my fingers. The main problem with it now is that we know from chapter five that Ralsei can show up in the dark world when Kris isn't around; he's there in Castle Town with Susie at the end of the chapter when Kris isn't there. So if he is an object, it's not anything that Kris is carrying around on their person. He can just be in the dark world whenever and however he likes. There's clearly a lot more going on there.
(Poor Onion...)
Uhhh I guess???? He is indeed dead??? I dunno man! There's a million memes about it now so I guess it must be true!
I haven't heard anyone doing that? I figured it was a Touhou reference of some sort; most of the time when I don't quite get it it's likely from Touhou.
I'm not quite sure if the flowers count as Lightner/Darkner hybrids...not in the same way Susie would be mixed race, at least. That said, they DO add to the growing list of characters and concepts that explore ways of existing in two states at once, or existing outside binary boxes. And that's certainly something that could be explored even further in chapter six if we finally get Susie confirmed as mixed race!
I'd uh, probably need to design Flowery first, for starters??
Also, all of the main bosses are bound gods, while their canon selves, are like...people made from ordinary objects. I don't think the ER versions of the characters would even notice them.
It could be quite bad! We'll have to wait and see how circumstances have played out, and under what conditions Susie tries to approach Noelle about the dark worlds!
I am 30 or 40 years old and I don't know how the kids develop memes anymore, so I don't know what this one's about!
But otherwise, uh? Seems cute and fine.
While I'll likely be getting to some scenes with the Knight in Eldritchrune soon, I do just want to say: temper your expectations!
He deserves it, and honestly it was so much fun to watch, I'm glad we got that this chapter!
I dunno man, some people are just not gonna be happy with how things went, and you gotta let them go. No sense wasting your time trying to convince people who desperately want to believe otherwise at this point.
Yessss aaaaaah exactly, it felt like such a culmination of their growth from both of them up to this point! I was just melting all over the room at that scene! The thing I really did always like about Suselle was how it built them both up to overcoming (some of) their difficulties and becoming more open people. And there's still room in the future for incredible highs and lows! I love them!!!
(I still need to do art of that scene!...)
The flowers are such great characters because they're equal parts comedy and tragedy, as Blue would likely put it. Genuinely sad that they can't exist as people outside of such very specific circumstances, but at the same time, they do demonstrate how much Asgore needs to move on and actually care about the family he does have left right in front of him.
I don't know what I'd be doing with them in Eldritchrune, though...we'll see what comes to me!
That's actually been a small but passionate subset within the "Susie is half human" group, lol. I've been fairly neutral on it in the past, but honestly now I can see the potential of it strictly through the lens of subverting the usual tropes we see of a character who's half-human/half-creature. It's a bit of a ramble so I won't get into it all right now, but yeah, it's a wild possibility with some potential. And based on one of Mew Mew's lines in the shop, even got a bit of a nod in the chapter itself!
