you know what? i know it's a game mechanic but we need more disability representation/people rarely headcanon characters as disabled, so—
headcanon that simon is hard of hearing!
also because, representation aside, airpods (what these are clearly parodying) actually do feature clinical-grade, over-the-counter capabilities for people with mild to moderate hearing loss!
iirc, it's the airpods pro 2 & pro 3 models that are able to be set up this way. i've read about hard of hearing individuals using these models to compliment their prescription hearing aids, while recharging hearing aids/as backups, or, in casual home conversation, use the "transparency mode" feature without their hearing aid entirely.
