Some of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure to meet and race with in my years as a triathlete. Many experiences i never would have had if it were not for the people featured in these photos.
From the top: My inspiration and the reason I want to go pro, Simon Whitfield at the Toronto Triathlon Festival in 2013.
My coach and guru, Harold "Howie" Walker. The man, the legend... racing and gumping at two events.
Last but certainly not least are all the friends I have in the sport. From left to right there is Reed Waldick, Jed Walker and Justin Attfield

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I GIVE YOU THE TRIATHLETES
During the men's triathlon earlier this week, Canadian Simon Whitfield, the defending silver medalist in Beijing, hit a speed bump on his bike slipping on his shoes early in the cycling stage. He sustained injuries that forced him to pull out of the event.
As he careened into the railing that the crowd was standing behind, his bike clipped the front wheel of Costa Rica's Leonardo Chacón, leading to a fall that briefly delayed his race. Chacón went on to finish 48th overall.
The day following the triathlon, Chacón reached out to Simon Whitfield via Facebook, citing him as his inspiration growing up. He also extended an invitation to Whitfield welcoming him to visit his home country of Costa Rica.
Simon writes via Twitter, "I happened to 'bump' into [Leonardo] in the Village. What a class act. We hugged it out."
