TAUPE - YET ANOTHER SIDE QUEST (11)
The Scotts
✏️ I’ve always wanted to low-key play the Scott family, but I didn’t want to mess up the dynamic of the gameplay.
Turns out my fears were right.
Not only did playing the Scott family take the bar away from them, put the bar didn’t even work after that. Great.
But we got it sorted ( had to reluctantly tapped business and hobbies, but here we are )
( Note: if you decide to play the Scott household yourself, know that this will happen as the Scouts are meant to be NPCs )
If you want to fix this traditionally, you can do so this way:

I played with the Scott family for a few days and after going back to my family, I noticed that Sara wasn't the pub owner anymore and she wa
✏️ After some doing, we got it sorted.
Simon was stressed already, and this didn’t help.
And then there’s the baby thing.
There’s still that extra room with the empty crib - they still trying to keep on trying, but they have to save the pub first.
Sara would never save this out loud, but if she had to choose, she’d choose the baby over that old pub. But she knows good and well they need to make a proper living.
Taking over the pub and moving into the cottage has been far more work than either of them expected, but they have each other.
Simon loves his wife, but there are a few things he hasn’t been completely upfront about.
For starters, he finds country life boring. If he had his way, he’d move to the city. But he knows Sara would never wanna go.
When they got married, and he agreed to move to Henford on Bagley, he felt kind of like the hero; he would swoop in and help her save the pub and be her helpmate so she could live out her cozy cottage life.
But this is such a sleepy town - how many times can they see you can grow the biggest pumpkin?
He’s madly in love with his wife. He’s not going anywhere, so it’s time for him to start figuring out what he would like to do.
Perhaps he should mentoring? He has some skills.
Maybe he can even create a small business of his own once they’re out of the woods.
Perhaps life will be different once they have the baby - his life will be plenty full then.
Sara knows Simon gets bored from time to time; she finds herself looking for hobbies and things to suggest to him, hoping something clicks.
She’s even thought about moving to the city, but the very thought makes her panic - Henford on Bagley is the ones thread she has left of her family; she also dreams of having her family grow up here.
✏️ I’m invested.
I want these two kids to be happy - we’ll spruce up the pub and the cottage and try to get them a sustainable income. Then we’ll work on this baby again.
