Just saw “The Watch” trailer.

What the bloody hell did I just watch?

I try not to be one of THOSE fans...but...what the hell did I just watch?

I’ll still give it a try...but God. The trailer sucked.

The jokes fell flat.

It just felt like...the bloody Sex Pistols on tour with a handicam and decided to muck about and do improv readings from Prachett’s novel “Guards! Guard!”

And God, why did they pick the Sex Pistols?

If you are doing punk, go with The Clash. They had talent, song writing ability, a passion to create art and a desire to change the world.

God, The Sex Pistols? Nihilism. Nothing. Ick.

This just...wow.

BBC America’s The Watch, inspired by Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, has a growing cast list. Anna Chancellor portrays Lord Vetinari, James Fleet portrays The Archchancellor, Ingrid Oliver portrays Doctor Cruces, Ruth Madeley portrays Throat, Hakeem Kae-Kazim portrays Captain John Keel, Bianca Simone Mannie portrays the wizard Wonse, Richard Dormer portrays Captain Sam Vimes, Adam Hugill portrays Constable Carrot, Jo Eaton-Kent portrays Constable Cheery, Marama Corlett portrays Corporal Angua, Lara Rossi portrays Lady Sybil Ramkin, and Sam Adewunmi portrays Carcer Dun.

The series will be directed by Craig Viveiros, Brian Kelly, and Emma Sullivan. Simon Allen is the lead writer.
