Zero is still trying to figure out a few things about himself but i can tell you that he’s bisexual and still very much into girls. before Matt he hadn’t been attracted to other men and never had a reason to question his sexuality. even now he’s not randomly looking at other guys, he’s just a kid that happened to develop intimate feelings for his bestfriend and he doesn’t necessarily understand why he feels that way but he’s accepted it. for whatever reason if him and Matt don’t work out later it would be highly possible for him to go on and date either another guy or girl. 

as for his parents having any knowledge about it earlier on.. again they wouldn’t have gotten that idea from Zero because if anyone remembers Zero read hentai at like age 7 or something and has this huge collection that Granger disapproved of so it was clear to him that those were his interests. he just looks at Zero as a socially awkward kid that probably has a hard time talking to girls in general. having said that, Granger is pretty quick on his feet so..
