pop! psd collection (v1 + v2)

i made this psd a loooong time ago (2016? 2017?) and it was due for a re-release. i’ve left most of it untouched, but i tweaked a couple things. there will be a comparison between v.1 and v.2 under the cut. this is a collection of the two psds, meaning that the original psd is included as well!

this is NOT a reshade preset or a mod. this is a file that you use in photoshop to edit your pictures.

just uploading my current .psd so i can update my resources page. i use this for both gameplay/scenery and cas screenshots, and you can too. it has a bright but muted feel, with a lowered saturation.

how to use

open the .psd and your screenshot in photoshop

prepare your screenshot the way you usually do: crop, topaz clean etc. (note: i use these actions for topaz clean)

drag group 1 from the psd on top of your screenie

adjust the opacity, hide the layers that you don’t need etc.

another note!! this psd lightens everything quite a bit (including skin tones), so i strongly suggest to lower the opacity of the group until you are pleased with the result. you can also add a darkening curves layer if needed.

some of you have been asking me about how i edit my gameplay screenshots, so i’ve decided to share the updated version of the psd i use for most of my screenies

I really liked the edit I made for my halloween post, so I decided to turn the effects into their own PSD!

Features:

Vignette like border (default size is 1440x900, I’m 99% sure you can resize it)

Dim glow circle (you can resize/duplicate the layer to put some shiny bits on your screenshot!)

Lowers the saturation via gradient map, changes contrast/brightness

SOFT LIGHT - A PSD

Here’s a little PSD I’ve been using lately for you all! What it does is make your screenshots a little bit warmer and like your sims are in the sun (hence the name!), but it’s quite subtle!  I recommend using it along with @glitchysims Keep Dark Skins Dark to avoid any witewashing happening with your darker sims. Here are more previews/examples as well!  Play with it as much as you like :-)
