Just going to simplify this as best as possible to avoid rambling (they're my two most thought-out characters so it could be pretty bad if I don't) :

Dani is a very stoic personality asoidfusfd she absolutely sucks at being openly affectionate and talking about feelings makes her so uncomfortable it's pathetic. She hates being taken care of but takes care of everyone else that she cares for without complaint, even if it means making sacrifices that hinder her. She works multiple jobs and goes to school full-time as well as volunteers at the hospital daycare center, she's the kind of person that fixes everyone else's problems and tries to keep her own social life as basic as possible. aosdifuadf

Dexter, after the death of his wife and high-school sweet heart, would need constant validation of some sort from his partner if he were to ever fall in love again aosdfiadf. He'd be scared shitless to give someone else his heart, due to the fact his wife committed suicide and completely wrecked him, he would be very....hesitant to even pursue anything with anyone. Besides that, he's a family man through and through - he wants the wife, dog, and white picket fence with multiple kids running around kind of life. Dani, not looking for anything remotely resembling a commitment, wouldn't even touch him with a ten foot pole aosdifuasdf
