Akechi has got to be one of my favoruite characters of all time and i particularly love his black mask fit, so im really happy i feel ive done him justice 🙏🙏

This fit was incredibly fun to make and wear. Everything was modelled and made from scratch by me but for the bodysuit where I ended up making A Lot of adjustments to it, as well as the belts where i ended up adding on 3d modelled ends.

This project I focused on using flexible filament for the first time and had fun figuring out its quirks as i went! I plan to share my general process/findings in the near future, just need to gather and edit the footage and such lol. Its truly such a game changer using it for armour (the helmet and shoe coverings were made out of it for reference!)

Im taking every opportunity to say this bc im genuinely still amazed by it, but i wore this suit for like approx 10hrs straight on smash saturday, drank over 1.5L of water, and did not need to pee a Single time during this period due to the sheer intensity of how much i was sweating. Genuine pro tip i guess 😭

Everytime i hear psychic attack i think of black mask akechi specifically, its such a him vibed song imo. Shoutout to machine girl for making bangers in general 🙏

P5R x Tao Trio !!! Gen 5 and the tao trio has got to be one of my oldest fixations ngl, with Zekrom in particular being an incredibly meaningful/sentimental chara to me since i was very young.

I really cant see Zekrom (the embodiment of ideals) choosing anyone other than Maruki tbh,, totally coincidental btw that both Zekrom and Maruki are my two favourite charas of all time and I've teamed them up lol,, they just fit perfectly conceptually, idk what can i say, im drawn to characters that embody nuanced idealism …

Of course will be completing the other two of the trio in time! Akechi will be paired with Reshiram, and Akiren with Kyurem. I personally think these dragon alignments work incredibly well considering the conceptual essences of their respective charas, but im too tired to properly elaborate rn lol.

For those unfamiliar with the tao trio, these are the other two dex entries:

I would be curious to hear people's thoughts on whether they agree or not with how ive paired the dragons and why either way. 🤔

Also finally tried out integrating 3D models for Azathoth's cables in the background and super happy with the results.

I love azathoth, he's got such a cool design and hes so fun to draw (but takes ages to get those details looking right aha). lil alien cosmic horror guys have always had a soft spot in my heart (shoutout to xenomorph, beheehyem, deoxys, the og azathoth, amygdala, to name few faves). needed to make him Way smaller than he should have been so i could actually fit more of him in frame... 😔

also me when i realise i can just reference my own cos photos to make my life 1000% easier drawing people: (genuinely life changing actually holy shit)

also waowee, first time ever properly posting some 2d art online. might also be one of the most colourful things ive drawn for years no joke, not like ive drawn all that much for the past couple of years, but i hope to start drawing more now nontheless, feeling rusty af ... compositional balance and silouhette could have been crispiser but eh lol
