The views towards the main square were almost soothing, people walking around, shopping, talking... but none of the noise their activities made could get through, instead, a comfortable silence surrounded them. The cold weather also seemed to be easier to bear from up there, whether it was because of the heaters or merely just a psychological effect, it didn't really seem to matter, at least not at the time.
