What are your favorite theories for why kakashi wears a mask?
Hmm, I only have one favourite, angst incoming:
I like to think that Kakashi looks so similar to his mother that he couldn’t bear seeing her face in the mirror anymore after her death. I know he looks a lot like Sakumo as well, but I headcanon that this is mostly his hair and eyes. Maybe his mother had the mole as well. It makes a lot of sense and fits Kakashi’s personality well, because what did he do to Obito‘s eye after receiving it? Cover it up. What did he do with his hands after having hallucinations of Rin‘s blood on them? Start wearing gloves.
Hiding his face so he doesn’t have to deal with the loss of his mother is something he would definitely do.
