Iridessa can tend to get carried away with plans--she’s very organized and likes to have check-lists and make sure things are in order--so whenever they decide to have a date, she can get more wrapped up in the planning than the dating. So Silvermist takes over that role and plans all their outings (and stay-ins) instead, so Dessa can relax and actually enjoy them.

Silvermist is also very collected and organized, but it comes more naturally to her because she doesn’t overthink things and let the stress of it weigh her wings down. So the dates she plans end up going very well. Their most recent one was a moon and firefly lit dinner on a lilypad in the pond. Sil prepared the venue and Dess invited the fireflies.

It’s well-known that Iridessa invented a popular fairy drink--lemonade with sunlight bubbles in it. The first few attempts were not perfected, naturally. A little-known fact is that Silvermist was the one who taste-tested the concoction first. She was the first of Dessa’s friends to volunteer.

Iridessa always brings Sil shells and pieces of sea glass when she finds them, and Silvermist makes her sparkling jewelry out of water droplets in return (they don’t last forever, but they’re glamorous and glittery while they do, so it makes Dess happy)

Sometimes when they’re on the mainland bringing the seasons, they’re stationed at different fairy camps. Silvermist sends bubble messages to Iridessa very often, and Iridessa gets another water talent--Marina maybe--to help her send messages back. They’re quicker than letters because they don’t have to wait for dust-deliverers to fly out at certain times. And also, they get to hear each other’s voices this way.
