The way Grace died is crazy, not the way he’s living on Erid and will eventually die but the way he died on Earth the second he left. Cuz yeah he had no family or partner or dog but the waitresses at the cafe he ate at every morning will never get to see him again, and when his kids graduate they’ll never get to visit him in his classroom. Or his neighbors that he didn’t really talk to but they still know him will see that one day his apartment is emptied out by people in suits. He didn’t die on the suicide mission sure but he died on Earth because he’ll never be seen there again.
