SURVIVAL  IS  FOR  THE  STRONG,   and they cannot be weak.   hunters come for their head,   because their sister placed a reward for whoever could kill thanos first.   it was an unconventional way to murder a traitor,   but they expected nothing less.   there is no safety,   even as they seclude themselves further into the forest.   (the bounty is considerable,   and posted in every corner that they could possibly flee to.   they still wear their imperial armor,   a reminder of their only worth.)   a twig snaps and they rush to face the noise,   imperial lance gripped tight between their hands.   yellow flashes in the trees,   and they begin to assume it’s a chocobo when a shot rings out and they narrowly avoid the bullet.

by no means are they fast,   but a soldier fights until they win.   the blond hair appears again and instinct kicks in,   launching the lance in his direction.   sprinting to reclaim it,  they focus on the sound of bullets,   the smell of gunpowder,   the flashing of a trigger.   thanos finds the person wielding the gun and years of training culminate into one final retaliation.   tacklng the person to the ground and holding the lance’s blade to their neck,   they snarl.   ❛   i am no bounty.   ❜
