Made a speedpaint/artist interview video with @derkasnake a while ago but finally got well enough to post it now n_n

Here she is, the wonderful Silkstra! Silkstra is my first real OC and my most popular one. She’s quite close to my heart and someday I hope to do a bigger project with her. Elizabeth Silkstra worked in a tailoring business with her sister, and was beloved for her skill and friendly personality. Her business attracted the attention of a powerful witch who commissioned her to make a beautiful gown to impress her crush at an upcoming ball; but when she was publicly humiliated she turned her scorn to the poor tailor. The witch burst into the shop after closing hours and cursed Silkstra to take the form of a spider.

Silkstra has come a long way in accepting her new body, but it has made her much shyer and she prefers indirect contact with her clients. She is always kind and polite to everyone, but when she is around someone she trusts her old friendly and bubbly self starts to return. Silkstra is asexual, but romantically attracted to women.

So I’ve been following @onemanstampede​ for awhile and they mentioned wanting art for their characters. So I thought drawing his spider girl Maritia with my spider girl Silkstra might be cute.

Extended bio: ~ Elizabeth Silkstra was a bright young tailor who ran a clothing store with her sister Clara, 'The Silk Sisters'. Her talents caught the attention of a witch who was seeking the heart of a man, and so she commissioned Elizabeth to design a dress that would capture the heart of her beloved. The man saw through the witch's vanity however, and rejected her. Hurt and enraged, the witch blamed Elizabeth for her shortcomings. She stormed into Elizabeth's store after hours and laid a curse upon Elizabeth that forever gave her the form of a spider.
