One of my favorite writers wrote a book called Earthcore that has undergone a few variations since it was originally scheduled for electronic publication in 2001. As I understand it, after 9/11, the electronic imprint pulled the plug on the publishing deal before the book was released. In 2005, when Scott Sigler hadn’t yet been able to secure a publishing deal for his novel, he started recording and podcasting the audio book, for free, on his own. Scott went on to quite a bit of success, signing deals with publishers like Crown and Del Rey. Earthcore would ultimately be published by Scott and his business partner AB Kovacs’s company, Empty set Entertainment in 2017. One of the hardest working authors and one of the raddest teams making awesome content for our eyes and ears. While watching Batman: The Animated Series, which ran in the early 1990s, with my breakfast, I made a connection between Scott’s book at this episode. In his book, infrared imaging plays a key role in the plot of the book. Batman was obviously not the first story to use imfrared imaging, but I wonder if this episode may have influenced him just a little. @scottsigler @a.real.girl @emptysetter #Sigler #ScottSigler #Siglerverse #Batman #connection #triangles https://www.instagram.com/p/CBgiN4VFeko/?igshid=1v15pn9wiau1w
