Cause power saves all. || Sigebert
If someone would have said Cassie would use her powers that night, or even hurt someone, she wouldn't have believed them. Yet when her feet were hitting the pavement, and the sound of her boots echoing against it through the dark alleyway, she could feel the cold breeze rush through as if someone was behind her. Her blue eyes glanced around carefully, yet she spotted nothing, which wasn't all that hard with nothing but darkness surrounding her. Pressing her lips together, she didn't bother asking anything, she just knew, by the sensations that coursed through her, the tingling in her fingers and the chill running down her spine, that someone was behind her. And then she felt it. The hand that clasped in front of her mouth, a body pressed flat against her back, and then nothing. Darkness.
Even if it was for a short period of time, two minutes tops - if she counted - she could feel the aching in her head. When she opened her eyes, the same darkness and alleyway greeted her, and she could feel eyes glancing down at her. Frowning lightly, she looked up at the person that had smacked her against the wall and saw a gun pointed straight at her. A gasp escaped her lips instantly, yet her eyes stayed focused on the gun. If she could heat it up just a little, maybe he could let it drop, and she'd have the advantage. Focusing on his hand, she forced her powers to go through her, and saw the man drop the gun to the ground and stepping back just lightly, which caused Cassie to back up against the wall just lightly. The air was crackling with power, and she knew she wasn't done just yet, except now she just needed to take a breather, and make sure the headache calmed down.
