Newest books I've gotten to read! Very much fantasy-forward this time.
rating something appropriately ā censorship.
āoh youāre advocating for censorship? not cool!ā no, what isnāt cool is graphic content being marketed to children. āyoung adultā readers are CHILDREN.
kids 12-18 watch R-rated movies and play mature games plenty, despite their ratings. but they (and their parents) are AWARE OF THE RATING BEFORE THEY CHOOSE TO ENGAGE! books should be no different! there should be clear guidelines for audience rating, and a reasonable expectation that they are marketed and shelved accordingly!
note: i know it isnāt always the authorās fault. i seem to remember similar drama around the binding 13 series.
