What’s up Creatives? For the second time we worked with the label ARMA 17 and their upcoming artist Luca aka Spara. He just debuted his second song “MAFIA”, which we directed and produced.

ARMA 17 itself is founded by its four members Alex, Momo, Tugay and Dorian. They gave us insight on the meaning behind their label’s name: “ARMA” is Italian for weapon and “17” represents a very special number for them, also hinting at the year 2017 where they have founded their label.

The label consists of a group of friends, who have known each other for years. The four guys underlined that there is no leader or manager and that everyone works with each other. For one, they saw a trend in the music business. But even more importantly, they saw potential in Luca, so they took that opportunity.

2 directors, about 30 actors, 3 days of production, 4 locations and a ton of equipment.

Pao and Nader were the ones behind the camera, ARMA 17 called in favors and all of their friends came and took on roles in the video, which was produced in the 3rd week of June in Berlin. The 4 locations included Dorian’s pub in Tempelhof, Museum Island, Westhafen and Märkisches Viertel.

The guys provided us with heavy equipment: fake guns and a ton of nice cars - mostly Mercedes and BMW to really capture the “MAFIA” concept in the video!

Everyone worked their asses off and put in so much effort into this video but the result speaks for itself. Go ahead and see for yourself:

What’s up Creatives? Our Crew recently got the opportunity to work with the talented comedian Uncle D. The 24-year-old worked on a very special project - a music video, that we had the chance to direct and produce. The video was premiered to his fans at Chicken Buzz on June 28th. We also got to chat with him a little about his life and upcoming projects, so here’s our quick Q&A with Uncle D.

Q: How did the idea pop in your head to start a comedy Youtube channel?A: I mean I obviously put on an act, I speak in an accent. I actually always did that for fun and at some point people always would tell me to record myself and make videos. I declined the idea because I saw no purpose behind it. One day my cousins and I took about 5 videos in Ghanaian for fun and people loved them! When I returned from Australia my friends and I saw this video where a man cuts his sons hair in a really horrible way to punish him and we thought it would be hilarious to mock people like him. So we did (in German). And as the videos were hyped we started taking more and more.

Q: Do you have a manager? A: Nope, we do everything ourselves. Very lowkey.

Q: Who takes part in your videos? A: My cousins Hanna, Emmanuel and Jeff. The four of us are the main actors.

Q: How do you feel being so successful? A: It’s pretty funny. All the sudden, you’ve made a name for yourself. I get recognised on the streets, people wanna take pictures and hang out with me. I have a lot of attention that I didn’t get before. It’s pretty cool, attending events and meeting fellow Youtubers.

Q: What’s the idea behind this music video? A: I’ve always been wanting to do it. In January 2017 I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish. Uncle D makes music - that was one of them.

Q: Does the song have a deeper meaning? A: It’s supposed to be comedy but also a little bit of truth. The song is about foreigners moving to Germany who have difficulties adapting, like learning the language. People having to work hard and provide for their family.

Q: What projects can we expect from you in the future? A: I definitely plan on collaborating with other Youtubers. I also wanna travel more and produce videos in different countries. There will be another music video next year, but I don’t wanna give away too much just yet.
