He nodded calmly at the person in front of him, acknowledging her attire.
"Greetings. I am Naoto Ueyama, the Super High School Level Astrologist." He smiled. "Would you like a pamphlet on the subject? I promise you it is riveting once you begin to understand." That said, he didn't expect her to take a pamphlet. Those who had thus far seemed almost reluctant, looking to avoid confrontation. Naoto was not a confrontational type.
Still, she hadn't told him her birthday. Naoto's assessments usually were only just as good as other peoples' - until he knew of their birthday. Then he could open them up and read them like a case study. He briefly adjusted his hat, awaiting her response with what could almost be mistaken as excitement bubbling inside of him. Perhaps today was the day he would make another pupil.

The soothing sounds of the furin always helped Ritsuka get through the summer, even during her long days of training. Now, however, with her bogu off and a hakamashita replacing it she felt much more relaxed. As the summer closed her family had always taken trips to a local shrine to pray and to have their dojo purified again. It was a large affair, one that even got relatives from across the country flying in to visit for. Being so far away at such an important time made Ritsuka miss home more than usual, but she tried not to let it get her down. Instead she'd chosen to visit a shrine herself, hoping to get a daruma or a o-fuda to make her new dorm feel a little more like home.
A cup of green tea in hand and the wind blowing in to her furin, Ritsuka let out a satisfied sigh as she sat on the engawa outside the Hope's Peak dojo.
"I may not be there, but I'll just have to make do with what I have...!"

Upon your doorstep is a single package wrapped in black and white. The inside is lined with bright red paper. It would seem completely empty if not for a single note. It reads, "swords can't defeat bears, they only make them angry."
Ritsu tilts her head, looking at the colored paper like it would hold all the answers.
“I don’t think I understand…”
