I remember reading a lot of those when this blog was at its peak. I thought they were lovely. I think I may have even used one of their quotes for Meredith's costume design post when I couldn't find a Janie Bryant quote about her. I really prefer to use Bryant quotes when I can though. I have so much respect for her vision and her thoughtfulness. She understands so much about the characters and brings them to life so vividly.

A. If you could rec a piece of music to accompany one of your fics, what would you pick? Why?

I feel like I have more of these for some of my WIPs, but I'll take the easy way on this one and say "Glitter in the Air" by P!nk for "The Walk Before the Run" (and really for any future Jali stuff for.. a while). If you haven't seen the video of her performing that song at the Grammys, that's your homework right now.

G. Where do you think you grew the most this year?

That's kind of a tough one because the way I grew the most is that.. I really started writing again at all. I did post a couple of short pieces last fall, but I feel like I didn't really get moving again until this past spring, thanks to some really lovely, supportive communities. So my growth was just in realizing that I could still do this.

P. What are your pet peeves in other people’s work?

I try to give other writers a lot of grace whenever possible, because we all have our strengths and weaknesses. But I think the thing that gets me the most is when character/place names are spelled wrong - an occasional typo is understandable, but I honestly won't even click on a fic if "Shepard" is misspelled in the summary. It looks very careless to me - especially when it's right there in the tags! (And since it's such a common one, PSA that it's Kaidan, not Kaiden. 😉)

I do not know what emotion Yiddish oy convey, sorry.

Russian ой [oi] means surprise (pleasant, not scary), something unexpected (but not bad).

4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?

Oh my goodness. Too many. How much time do you have? In all seriousness there’s a lot. I have my bad things happening prompts and a bunch of others. I have mystery fics I want to write. I have a mystery prompt list and would like to make use of it for myself. I have a MEA mystery fic I started and posted more than a year ago that I would like to continue. I also have fics that I want to write sequels to.

Talking about them more I would like to explore my OC Avery more. Her involvement in Cerberus and how everything have changed after ME3. What Cerberus wants and what their plans are.  

20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.

Just being able to concentrate. Other than that it doesn’t matter where I write. 

21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
