It’s amazing what a hand can do…
Drawing fear out of fossils flinching in my armoire
There’s a pencil sketch between us
drawing me closer to you.
with tainted sounds dipped in wasted frowns
I’m parallel to a page, facing down
watching a hand reveal every corner of mind you dwell in
It’s amazing what a hand can do…
Cursive charismatically clones each heartbeat cadence and creates songs of ineffability
as in, these hands perform miracles,
on bended tendons, my fingertips force fate beneath them
It’s amazing what a hand can do….
You parallel to collapsing reality
Knee first into the floor, your back binds belief into my approaching palms
Your skin meshes with my calm until you are, too.
A reminder to breathe beyond the capsule that is becoming your mind,
“I am still here” proclaim my verbal hands
You un-tense intensely below my wrists
It’s amazing what a hand can do…
Me adjacent to a darkening corridor
A distant light constructed enough light years to reach me.
Far enough to show me love doesn’t have to burn.
Me, empty grip, full of nothing,
but a realization that I can’t do this alone
I ask for help, you lend a heart
The weight of the gravity you bring me to each time our fingers weave between each others’
It’s amazing what a hand can do.
