but when four o'clock rolled in, the cotton-like skies mocked you.

"ah! i'm glad it didn't rain today, i forgot my umbrella," the glass of water was now empty as you observed the flush on his skin.

you were getting ready to go to bed when you remembered. not a single drop of rain. the door of the bedroom opened and he came in, coconut soap and the scent of the sun still lingering on his skin.

the next morning it was pouring, lightning waking you up instead of the summer winds.

and so, on the twenty-first day of the sixth month of the year, the usual afternoon showers stood behind to give the sun a little more time to shine on its day.
