ā What was it like acting alongside that one guy called Shoji?
Send a ā and a question and my muse must answer, even if itās a secret.
Worst experience of my life! He was always in my dressing room and heād leave the wrappers for his crisps behind and Iād just be like -- what the hell, do you know whose dressing room this is, you punk!?
And then when I end up going to hisĀ dressing room... I end up cleaning it for him!? ME, THE SENPAI?
In all seriousness though, we really hit it off somehow! There was even this time when we turned my dressing room into a karaoke box with Dean and Shoji did this manicĀ cover of SONIC DRIVE! -- we even ended up drinking a little, even though the three of us had scenes to do later that day.
Shoji and I had a lot of scenes together, so there were a lot of times where weād just be lounging on the sofa doing script readings, and he was really serious about it -- like, reallyĀ serious. More serious than me, even! I think he was nervous about it, what with it being his first feature film, but it translated into this amazing performance where he paid attention to his setting and used it for when his character had to fumble -- like heād pick up a prop, for example, and then fiddle around with it. And every time weād re-take a scene heād pick a new prop, like he thought of something better, and this kind of detail is something that reminds me a lot of myself when I first started acting, so I have to say it was pretty nostalgic to witness.
He was also incredibly patient whenever I had to ask him to read my kanji for me. Thatās a level of irreplaceable you donāt see very often in the professional world.
The guy clearly loves his job. It shows in his work etiquette. But even outside of that professional aura, where itās just us hanging out or going out to eat after filming, he really is a sweet kid. One of my favourites in terms of co-stars -- I just regret he didnāt have a bigger role in the film.
ā What do you consider to be the best way to break the ice?
ćquestions, questions every whereć
@shoujiruā met the reaper.
Ā Ā Ā ćĀ Perhaps heād recognize her face. Most usually did. Fei liked to never take her reapings by surprise, appearing once or twice in passing while they were on the street or busing themselves with work. A setting where she could pass by as a face in the crowd and silently give them the theoretical mark of death. Her mark. Now, she stood over the man, watching the red tint of blood fade from his body, and waited for his soul to realize what had just transpired. Hands in her dress pants pockets and a lingering smile on her face, she finally spoke.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Itās time for the next go round, buddy. ā
āReally, where were you?ā (S01 getting possessive towards Queen Bee)
āWhat are you talking about?ā - She smiled softly, approaching him and caressing his face. -Ā āI went shopping, but in the end, I couldnāt find what I was searching for. Are you angry?ā

shoujiru:
He realized heād spaced out when the stranger pointed it out, because of this he laughed shortly and seemed embarrassed. āThat is very kind of you. Thank you, Akari,ā he accepted her considerate gesture with a polite bow of his head. Ā āAnd you are absolutely right. Sometimes thereās no better stress relief than cold beer,ā he agreed with her as he took the glass, mirroring her action and taking a sip. A long sip. Followed by a satisfied sigh. āYep, thatās good,ā he grinned as he sat back on the couch. āOh .. Iām Shoji, by the way. Where are my manners?ā He sat up more straight while finally introducing himself.
āShoji-kun,ā she repeated, giving him a little nod with her head. āSo what are you doing here tonight? You donāt quite⦠seem to fit into the crowd, if I can say it like that.ā The crowd, which mostly meant young, wasted people looking for a way to forget about their usual lives for a night or simply for a partner to not be alone tonight. Shoji didnāt look like either applied to him, nor did he fit into the crowd of the crazy ones, looking for their fancy pills or whatever else they were craving. It was what had raised Akariās interest in the first place, once she had noticed him he had stuck out like a sore thumb to her. Not necessarily in a bad way, she was determined to find out about that over the course of the night.
āJust tell me the truth!" (to any muse this line inspires)
āI did it already!ā - Haruto returned it, frustrated as he held Shoās collar. -Ā āHow dare you to accuse me of touching Washimi? I rather die than descending this low. One manipulative bitch in my life was enough. Washimi is just the same as Hoshino. Yes, the Hoshino I told you about. They are even friends! You knew that? No, you didnāt. Because she poisoned you with her sweet words. Things must be just like they want or they will dispose you like garbage. No matter how much you might do for them. Iām tired of seeing you crawling over and over because of that fucking woman, knowing very well sheās playing you.ā

He quickly adopted the attitude of someone who was getting scolded by a figure of authority, or even a parent. His eyes shifted as he avoided straight eye contact with Mirei, he wore a somewhat childish sulking expression.
āThis is my first time baking and I got a little too excited, okay?ā He continued the act of a sulking teenager, pouting as he half muttered. āI heard somewhere that creativity is good whenever youāre making any kind of food so thatās what I tried to do here,ā he kept his defensive shield up stubbornly even though it was obvious that heād accidentally sabotaged the cake.
āGot a little too excited?! You poured half a bottle of beer in there!ā She exclaimed in disbelief.Ā āNo. Stop acting like a child like Iām the bad guy hereā She corrected the other, uncertain what to do now that the dough for the cake is submerged in beer.Ā āDonāt you know there is yeast in beer, and we only needed a teeny-weeny bit of yeast powder instead of half a bottle of beer?ā She explains the logic behind her annoyance.Ā āYou know what, we are just going to bake this, and see what happensā Giving in eventually, and continuing to knead the dough, squishy from all the beer.Ā Ā āBut once we bake this, you have to eat the whole thing and see if your creativity paid offā She grins from ear-to-ear at her so-called punishment.Ā
