elle had her kid and it was the most beautiful baby girl in the whole world, according to her. rosie was just an angel and she didn’t really care that she got knocked up by some random guy at a party. it was a mistake and clearly he didn’t want to be in the picture. she was ready raise this kid alone even with all her plans of expanding her inn. she knew the consequences of her actions and she wasn’t going to let rosie feel any of that. “i don’t really care if people look at me and think ‘oh she’s the girl that got knocked up at a party’. that’s who i am in their eyes and that’s what i am. who cares, you know?”

“Hey, excuse me!” Leah called at the person who was passing by. “I’m so sorry to bother you but can you hold on to the ladder? I’ve got to get these up and I am a little nervous about heights.” She gestured to the white garland with hanging snowflakes. “If my store does not look the part for the Winter Festival, my bakery will be the laughing stock of the town and I will be shunned.”

Evan was seated upon the couch in the living room, still grappling with the new information he’d learned about his roommate. He’d kept himself guarded from relationships, from feelings, for so long now. Wolf just managed to break down those barriers even without meaning to. The recent discovery about the younger man’s work had made his small crush fully realized. Now he just needed to ask, maybe to just understand. “Hey,” Evan said softly as Wolf finally got home. “Could we... talk, for a second?” 

“sorry to hear that... i saw how excited you were when you left so kinda hoped it would turn out well” eric said, casually walking over towards the couch and sitting down putting the bowl between them so they could share it “well, it’s that guys loss anyway... he had a catch and he was stupid to let you go” he pointed out while grabbing some more of the popcorn, playfully throwing it in the air and catching it in his mouth, a proud grin plastered on his face when he did it “hopefully whatever guy you go for next is smart enough to realise what he has”

dominic hated himself for what he was about to say, hated the sense of longing that took over as soon as she stepped in the room. it was wrong ─ his new girlfriend certainly wouldn’t appreciate it, but he would also drown himself in deep misery if he didn’t express how he felt.  “ whenever i was away, i’d miss you. ”   /   @shootinstvrs ​

Well. That was unexpected. Josie wasn’t really a romantic. She liked predictability and having control over everything. Running the radio station was one of the most obvious examples of her aversion to chaos. It was one possibility as to why she’d had a crush on someone who hadn’t even lived within the same state for the past decade. As to why the postcards they sent her were taped up neatly by her desk. And up until that point, she had been free from actually confronting any of those feelings because there was no way they would ever return to the small town. And yet there they were. Right in front of the counter where the barista had just placed her order. Josie took a deep breath and tapped them on the shoulder. “Hey, do I know you from somewhere?” If only her heart wasn’t inconveniently jumping out of her chest.

“What line were you gonna use, hm? Save water, save the planet?” he teased, giving him a shake of his head, “Showers are where I have my me time, sorry bud. Though can’t say I’d hate company after, if you do wanna come in. We can play take out roulette,” he unlocked the door, opening it up for him, “Unless, of course, you’re on one of those bullshit diets. Then I can play and you can live vicariously through me,”
