So over a week ago I moved back home. It was a 600 mile drive from where I was to where I am now. About 325/350 miles in my phone decided to die on me, this is while it was plugged into a working charger. I spent the rest of my drive through the Carolinas in the quiet trying REALLY hard to not think too much about that song by Twenty-One Pilots :/ I realized the charger was working at a McDonalds in South Hill VA and luckily I had my tablet somewhere where I could easily get to it. It didn't have as many songs on it but it was enough to last me the rest of my trip. I would rather not get into the circumstances surrounding my return home or why I couldn't bring all of my things with me but I know that what I had to leave behind is being stored safely...what I didnt realize is that I packed fewer clothes than I initially realized. Ive been at my parents house for over a week now but I haven't got a room or privet living space yet. All of my things are still in boxes and bags and while a living space was planned for me, it's currently inhabited by mice. So far we've caught several including what we think are the parents. I need to lay some rugs or carpets in that room too since it's not so much a bedroom as it is a sunroom...filled with birds and surrounded by sliding glass doors. I started working on Monday morning, not a new job just a transfer...Target, woo-yay.im doing different stuff now than before and where I live has a higher minimum wage so at least I'm feeling stimulated at work and getting (slightly) better pay. I don't know what my intent is at the moment...I feel stressed out and kinda exposed but I have a great support system here. My friends took me to the zoo and took me out to dinner which was great. I just wish I could have my living space set up at this point...I haven't set up my computer and as sad as it feels to express, being able to sit at my desktop would be a nice comfort for a few minutes. I'm writing this on my tablet. A part of me is craving affection and human contact but I can see myself getting through that in time. I felt a little overwhelmed earlier in the week at work but I was able to focus on work tasks for the most part. Overall this transition is going to be good for me...I kinda feel like I've fallen into The Money Pit...I think...you know, the comedy staring...Chevy Chase(...?) Only for me it's not an avalanche of misfortune just a lot of inconvenience compounded by me trying to feel comfortable in my new environment. On he plus side I found my wacom-tablet so assuming it still works I'll be able to post drawings again! Also I think I've saved up enough for a Nintendo Switch. I don't want to wait until Fall for Fire Emblem Musou but Zelda will tide me over.
