Name: Suki 

Nickname? Sukulele, Suk, Pooki. Some people call me Sian, which was the name I was given at birth. Suki was added when I was less than a year old by common usage. 

Location: I alternate between Glasgow and Belfast.

Any pets? We have a rough collie in our flat, but shje belongs to my flatmate. I still get to pet her and play with her though. I also have a small cat named Bonnie who lives with my Dad now.

Favourite thing about yourself: I am an able singer.

Worst habit: I hang on to anger.

Fun fact: I studied art in high school and was encouraged to apply to study it in University. I also used to tell people my brother who is a year older than me was my twin and I often wish this were true.

Romantic preference: Primarily women, but this fluctuates.

Misc: I have never been in a relationship of any kind and my last kiss was probably over six months ago. 

Routine

"Early Bird" or "Night Owl"? I cannot stay up late! I used to when I was a kid to read, but I need my bed these days. I'm not really keen on getting out of it in the morning but I am less groggy then than at night.

Your morning routine: I haven't had much routine for the last two weeks because I've had a low patch, but before that I would get up at 8am, eat a bowl of cereal, have a shower under our bath tap because our shower is always cold, make a cup of tea, dry my hair whilst scrolling tumblr or reading, put on my make up and head to Uni for my 10am lecture.

Bath or shower? Shower. A hot shower with great water pressure is the best.

First thought in the morning: At the minute it's mainly incoherent groaning. But usually I'll try and remember my dreams and the ideas for whatever work of fiction I inevitably thought of when trying to get to sleep and didn't write down.

School/Work

Do you work or are you a student? Student, but I need a job. 

Where do you work/study: The University of Glasgow

What do you do? I am repeating my second year and studying English Literature and Language, as well as doing an extra course in Creative Writing

Do you enjoy it? Yes - not really at the moment but that's because I'm low and I hate everything at the moment. I am very nervous about not getting good enough grades again though.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? A steady job, working towards achieving my creative goals, having fun and mentally stable.

10 years? Kind of the same? I'd like to have traveled more though and hopefully have fallen in love with someone who loves me back - even if it doesn't work out I'd like to experience it.

Your ideal job: Author, singer or musical theatre performer. More practical ideas are librarian, singing teacher or editor, but even if I don't create professionally I still want to be creative.

Habits (Do you…)

Drink? Yes. I have some problems with alcohol, but they are much more under control than they used to be. I'm trying not to drink so much that I am not able to lose grip of myself.

Smoke? Not regularly, but I have a bad habit of social smoking when stressed. I am trying to quit for good because I am focusing on improving my voice.

Do Drugs? No, but I used to abuse pain medication such as codeine. Not anymore though! 

Exercise? No, but I should. I love swimming but I hate the Uni's swimming pool. My mum did say that she would pay for a dance class for me though which will be exciting!

Have any hobbies? Creative writing, reading and singing, obviously. I also sketch a bit and volunteer at my student's union.

Have a go-to comfort food? Anything and everything. Sugar is a must though.

Have a nervous habit? I shred the skin on my feet and fixate on my hands.

What is your favourite…?

Physical quality (in yourself): My face? Is that too general? If I was to be more specific, my eyes, beauty spots and chipped tooth (I know that's odd, but I think it's cute!)

In others? Smiles. They are reassuring.

Mental/emotional quality (in yourself): I'm imaginative, which is useful for someone who wants to be a writer.

In others? Kindness, empathy and an ability to see the humor in life, even in the darkness.

Food: Burritos from Boojum in Belfast. So good! 

Drink: Tea. 

Animal: Cats, but I also have a soft spot for goats and otters.

Artist/band/group: Amanda Palmer.

Author/poet: I tend to more have favourite books than favourite authors. Probably the author whose work I have enjoyed most consistently is Neil Gaiman. My fav books are Let The Right One In, The House Of The Spirits and I Capture The Castle.

Film: Funny Girl, Lord Of The Rings and Les Mis.

TV show: At the minute it's Teen Wold or Parks and Rec. But always, ALWAYS, Buffy.

Actor: Tom Hiddleston. 

Actress: Amy Adams. Or Aubrey Plaza. But in very different ways.
