Caga Tió | Barcelona, Spain If you ever see small children hitting a log with fervor around the holidays in Catalonia, I think it's safe to say it's the Caga Tió (lit. "Shitting Log") tradition. From what I understand, you're supposed to hit the log to make it "shit" presents. And according to Wikipedia, it only "shits" small, communal presents like candy, whereas the three wise men bring larger gifts.
