SUNFIRE!!! Shiro Yoshida is an arrogant, proud Japanese mutant with the ability to fly, fire plasma blasts, view infrared light and is immune to radiation. H has been a member of the X-Men, The Twelve, Big Hero Six, the Marauders, the X-Corporation Mumbai, the Pacific Overlords, the Horsemen of Apocalypse and most recently the Avengers Unity Squad which he joined in Uncanny Avengers #5. Shiro’s Mom was exposed to radiation from the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. She died when he was young  from radiation poisoning and he grew to hate the United States in return. His first battle with the X-Men comes when he attacks the US Capitol after being goaded into it by his evil uncle, even though his father is an Ambassador to the USA. His Uncle kills his father and after killing his uncle in retaliation, he surrenders to the US authorities. Not long after that, Professor X recruits Sunfire for a new X-Men team he is sending in to rescue the original team who have tones missing after a mission to discover a new mutant. He helps but refused to join the team, ever the loner. Sunfire has his shares of ups and downs over the next few years, even being brainwashed by Apocalypse as one of his Horsemen, Famine. Later on, Wolverine finds a drunken, burnt out Shiro in a bar in Japan and convinces him to join The Avengers Unity squad. He is believed to have been killed by Kang the Conqueror.
