Shiro already has Kurogane to care for, a kid!Rocma might be a bit too much for her, but she's more nervous rather than annoyed... she really tries her best.

Yukigane (at least yukisada is a good housemate who’ll care for shirogane, please... they both need to be protected)

i think “perfect couple” is rather subjective and since i’m a multi-shipper, i don’t necessarily only ship them with eachother, buuut i’ll give my own personal opinion anyway.

despite rocma’s harsh demeanor, i think at her core she is used to taking care of those weaker than her and if she were very close with someone (like shirogane) she would want to train them to be strong enough to stand on their own two feet if they ever got into trouble. 

as we’ve seen in one of the comics, she despises it when he’s cowering in fear, but when he broke out of that and saved her from idate, she actually seems more surprised than anything.even if she’s so unwilling to express gratitude, she (though with the persuasion of peraco) still mustered the words out. if she got over her bias, i think she definitely would have been more impressed and taken well to it. shirogane may be too weak to defend himself, but he doesn’t stray when one of his friends is in serious danger and is willing to risk his own life to save theirs, a quality rocma really might admire.

shirogane would gravitate towards rocma because of the sense of safety she brings and he doesn’t have to be as worried (…okay, he still kinda is) for her safety whenever they get caught up in a dangerous situation because she’s obviously more than capable. they may be total opposites, but that’s also what kinda balances their relationship out. 

rocma would only allow herself to show her vulnerable side to someone willing to do the same and shirogane yearns to be cherished and accepted without the fear of being mocked. rocma wouldn’t coddle him but understands shirogane can be capable too if he tries; she just needs to be patient with him and shirogane would want to prove that he isn’t just a coward everyone thinks of him as.
