Some lovely art by a friend of mine of Annabelle and Shiola, her and Swamp's daughter. Anna, Swamp and Shi liked to sit and watch the storms roll in, and they spent lots of time outside.
Anna and Swamp raised Shiola to love the outdoors and the world around her. Swamp would take her to play in the woods, and Anna would let her play in the dirt while she gardened. They both taught her how lovely it can be just to sit and watch the world around you.
when Swamp went to prison, Anna and Shiola stayed at their trailer for a few more years while she tried to maintain a relationship with Swamp. This didn't last, and about halfway through his sentence she'd slowly stop visiting, as she and Shiola had moved away.
Annabelle O'Sullivan, Swamp's first love. He and Anna had their daughter, Shiola, when they were 17 and 16, respectively. Quiet and easygoing, Anna never was one to complain or put up much of a fuss about anything. Though she loved Swamp, she never wanted him to be a criminal, and would've preferred going hungry over having him risk his safety for her. When he was eventually arrested for robbery and sentenced to prison, she would visit him for a while. Then, the visits became fewer and fewer. Eventually she stopped showing up. When Swamp was released, he returned home to find her and Shiola were gone. The house had been abandoned, food still left in the fridge. She'd left a note that just said "we're safe. Don't look for us. I'm sorry."
