I just had a dream for the first time in years and... Wow.
In the dream there was the ghost of a woman who was murdered at some kind of (Shinto?) shrine and I somehow became infatuated with her so I decided to try and calm her spirit.
About midway through the dream her influence had spread and attracted other spirits that were more malicious than her so the stakes were raised.
By the end of the dream I had brought her to peace with a combination of compassion and love but she didn't pass on, she decided that her afterlife was to stay with me.
Then the two of us worked together to banish the evil spirits and we became the guardians of the shrine.
spends 10 minutes googling my own religious affiliation for a demographics thing bc i have no idea what the fuck its called
isĀ Amaterasu still being worshipped or is she a historically pagan god
i know most japanese people are suppose to be bhuddest but tbh i donāt know much about it
mostly iām askinh if itās offensive to list her next to like norse and greek gods and other gods ofĀ ādeadā pagan religions
