Originally intended to finish this for Shingyoku Day (June 9th, also when I started), but got a bit too busy with exams and all. In my interpretation, they are (formerly?) a kannushi and a miko.
I realized that I haven't done the PC98 characters. I wasn't going to, since they are not really canon anymore, but maybe I will. Then I can really say that I have one drawing per character!
For this one I tried to use Sketchbook. I like it, but I don't know if I'm going to use it for these drawings (it is a little simplier than what I usually use)

Shingyoku Portraits
Reuploading my Touhou Ultima portraits since they sorta became lost media now. Tumblr isn't the best spot for preservation but hey, I'm the one who chose to quit Twitter and Pixiv.
Shingyoku is an interesting first boss in the entire Touhou series. Is it the ball? Who are the two other characters it transforms into? I personally headcanon them as an "anti yin-yang orb" that tests Reimu by summoning spirits from the beyond. Highly Responsive to Prayers is truly the most esoteric of all the games, a lot is up to interpretation.
