My answer depends on the specific mood. If I’m in a funk and want to cheer up, there are loads of upbeat songs I could listen to. But if I want to indulge the sad mood and sink into it for a while, I’ll probably listen to these:

 Muse, “The Globalist”

The Neighbourhood, “Flawless”

Muse, “Unintended”

Jonghyun, “Elevator”

And Duran Duran, “What Happens Tomorrow,” because I find its lyrics give me hope and the strength to take things a day at a time

1: How did you get into SHINee?

Em (@petite-sprout) came home one day and showed me “Ring Ding Dong.” It didn’t grab me right away, tbh. But she showed me more kpop videos over the next few months. And then “Sherlock” came out. Hooked.

I love several, but I’m going to say “Better” because it was the first one I loved, and also I never hear anyone mention it. I adore it. (I also love “Password” and “Breaking News.”)

They all continue to impress me, all the time.

14: The SHINee member you think has changed the most over the years

I’m going to say Jonghyun on this one. I know Taemin was a baby and has obviously changed a lot. But much of his personality still strikes me as the same (which I love). But Jonghyun...I don’t know if it’s that he has changed a lot or if the “bad boy/loveable asshole” persona that they hung on him was so far from the truth that it seems he has changed a lot. Either way, he comes across a lot differently now.

15: The SHINee member you think has changed the least

Onew. Loveable, smiley, consistent Onew.

16: Your favourite SHINee MV

Probably “Lucifer” (Korean), but I also love “Dream Girl,” “Breaking News,” and “View.”

17: Your favourite SHINee lyric

Oh gosh. I’ll admit I really don’t know their lyrics. Like, when they release a song, I usually read the lyrics once to get a sense of what the song is about. And then I forget them (lousy memory for that sort of thing), so most of the time, I have no clue what they’re singing, lol.

The lyrics (and the music) are exquisitely beautiful. But at the same time, knowing how he felt writing them, I wish they didn’t exist.

Not really a connection to SHINee, but I’ve met a lot of wonderful Shawols over the past four years, and I will always treasure that.
