Ai Shindou
Kyoukai no Kanata
Let’s talk about
“Shindou Takuto/ Riccardo Di Rigo”
〘Who is he?〙
Shindou Takuto (Riccardo Di Rigo in EU) is one of the main characters in Inazuma Eleven GO.
He's introduced as Raimon's football captain in the GO saga. He starts off with a serious demanour, emotional, frustasted due to the new regulations thanks to SEED (Fifth Sector). As a MD, he's the team's strategist, showing his intelillence and ability to lead the team in a way no other could. Thanks to Tenma (Arion) he rebels agaisnt SEED and starts the rebolution with Tenma, Samguk, Kirino and Shinsuke, later making the whole team follow them.

〘A missundertood character〙
Not gonna lie, I hated this character when I first watched GO. I found him frustating and irrationaly angry with Tenma all the time. Always crying, not letting Tenma help the team. But the older I got, the more I loved him.
Shindou is a great character overall. His anger and frustations where very valid and showed how much he cared about the team. Sure, Tenma wanted to play football, but Shindou was putting the team before his own passion. He didn't want Raimon to close as a pusnishment for not following SEED's orders. It's amazing how the series captures his anger and sadness with the situation. Out of everyone in the team he's the only one that externalise the most his emotions and that's amazing. I love seeing passionate character that not only show positive emotions (like Endou or Tenma), but more realistic reactions like anger, frustation, sadness, annoyance...
The people that call him a crybaby really don't understand his position and should have a double-check.
〘The importance of balance〙
I might be cancelled for this, but Shindou is Raimon's best captain. Yes, over Endou.
Don't get me wrong, I love Endou, but there's something about Shindou that makes him special: his balance.
As I mentioned earlier, he's the character that externalise the most different emotions, from anger to excitement. But he's also a great tactitian, showing how intelligent he's as a player and as a character in general. He's like a Endou mix with Kidou.
He's a smart character that leads the team with realistic expectations.
His struggle about his own perception, what really ment being a captain was amazing. Developed a character that seemed ruthless and broke him to show how great he is. He also knew not everyone would follow him to rebel, he had only 4 players on his side and still lead them to the first victory agaisnt SEED. He also learns about balance while plaing in Chrono Stone. Nobunaga was really a match made in heaven for Shindou. This season also shows more of his determination to save the football. The fact that he was the only Chrono Storm player in the second match of Ragnarok, the captain and lead to the only win in the tournament showed us once again how Shindou manages to analise and come with the best strategies. He brings the best of the team. In Galaxy, he was the realest character. I found Tenma's constant positive actitude annoying and forced, Tsurugi was just...there. But Shindou? The only one that represented us: anger, frustation and annoyance. The way he taught lessons to Ibuki was refressing, he did not showed with the power of friendship, but through actions. Showing the importance of teamwork once again.
〘Ruined by plot〙
Eventhough he's arguably the best character in the whole series, he still was a lil bit ruined.
Not having him as a captain again in Season 2 was a mistake for me. Ruined the opportunity to have a captain different from the emotional support one. Tenma is not a good captain, and as said in Galaxy, I also agree that being captain holds Tenma back.
True that Tenma is an emotional support, but Shindou just leds the team better. He has a very natural leader aura and personality
And eventhough I still loved him in Galaxy, his character was ruined to favor the new ones and was pushed aside (even if he's supossed to be in the main trio).
〘Final thoughts〙
Shindou is one the best Inazuma chatacter with the best development.
The best Raimon captain in the series for me. Showing the importance of passion, motivation with intelligence and realness only the _Virtuoso_ could. A character that struggled seeing his own value as a captain. A character that no matter what, he will always bring the best of the team for the victory.
I love him <3

Shindou Takuto x Oc!
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Miko was a social butterfly, she was an extrovert, friendly, out going and easily makes friends. The girl has no enemies. So raimon woudnt really be suprised if someone falls for the girl, tho a specific someone isn't really fond of the idea.
"Who what?" Shindou asked the male who was at the door of the soccer clubroom. The second year recognized the person.
He was also a second year student in raimon who is known for his gentle persona and pretty looks. He was a good kid, you could say both males know eachother and are in both's good sides. Well for now.
"Miko. I was wondering if miko is here" The student repeated as he smiled awkwardly. The name of raimon's teenage couch made the other members inside look at the door as curiousity eats them. "Heh? Who is that shindou-senpai" Tenma walks towards the door.
"oh.. I'm sorry to bother but miko said If I ever need something I would just find her here" He exclaimed.
"Are you hurt?"
"er, no?"
"are you failing class?"
"no..?"
"are you here to join the soccer club?"
"no I-"
"then goodbye." Shindou said before shutting the door at the boy's face, the action made tenma gasped loudly as he looked at the 2nd year with an expression.
"eh.. shindou why did you do that" he sweatdropped. "He seem trouble."
"I thought he was kinda sweet" Aoi commented as shindou only looked away, "it was quite rude for you to do that shindou-senpai, that was quite surprising actually." Tenma said.
As tenma looked around to ask miko about the boy but his mouth closed as he realize the said girl isn't present. "Speaking of where is-"
"thank you so much Yamaha-san.." The door opened as a familiar voice came with it, the three looked back as miko comes inside with a flower in hand talking to someone, shindou glared at this.
"yeah! I hope you like them,, i think it matches you" He chuckled as he gave up a smile. The ravenette returned the smile as she bicked a small goodbye and wave to him before completely closing the door.
She turned around to see Aoi, shindou and tenma just near the door as if they were watching closing, She blinked at this.
"oh hey guys!" She smiled at them, walking towards them. "What's up"
"miko-chan who was tha-"
"who was that" shindou intrupted, his tone slightly perked up the ravenette but composed herself after a second - tilting her head in confusion. "Yamaha? Don't you know him" She asked.
"None which, why is he here"
"Oh, he came to give me a peace offering" The girl lips turned into a smile as she revealed a pink full blooming tulip as her fingers twirled the plant around.
"Wahh! That's so nice of him! And it smells amazing too!" She nodded.
"You hate pink tho" Shindou revealed as miko pouted at this. "Hate is such a strong word shindou, it's not exactly my top colors but it's still very beautiful"
"he said 'he thinks it matches you' if it matches you then woudnt he have gave you purple anemones"
"oh shindou, the boy just wanted to give a flower, why be so specific-"
Miko stop herself midway, blinked in slow realization. She blinked again to look at the sophomore
"how did you know I like purple anemones?" Her lips slowly craved into a bigger smile, her cheeks plushed with a small tint of blush.
"It's your favorites of course we would know it." Shindou replied as he started to walk away.
"We didn't know-"
"If a guy can't give you the correct type of flowers in the first then thats a red card."
Miko giggled at his remark, "oh shindou,, you're silly sometimes" She spoke as she catched up with the male.
Remained Aoi and tenma who looked eachother. "There's flowers called anomones?"

My fav clingys
uh oh. but what about pro hero grand strolling into the books store in his civilian clothes? cocky bastard is so full of himself that he assumes everyone will recognize him.
and yeah, usually people do, but you’re dead tired on your feet and just want to go home so you can conk out. but here’s some wanker buying some overrated book written by whatever ever dead white guy from the 1800s acting like it’s god’s literally gift to earth
and shindo doesn’t miss the scoff that passes through your lips when you see the title, and he’s in a little mood of his own (when isn’t he?) as he presses you for what you mean by it.
and then all the customers in the store are siding eyeing the two of you as y’all go head to head about books and classics, and you’re pretty proud of yourself for the through dragging you just gave this ass hole. which is why you’re kinda surprised he comes back the next week, having read your recommendation, and is asking for another.
a tentative friendship forms, you suggesting titles and him coming in sporadically to give you his thoughts, a smirk always on his lips when the two of you argue over plot points.
it’s not until you run into him on his patrol that you realize your little customer crush is a fucking pro hero?? when the hell did that happen, and shit, is he trying to discuss books right now??
I’M SCREAMING!
I absolutely adore the idea of him actually being in to books? And just the thought of sitting in comfortable silence with him and reading together has my entire heart? Like your legs slung over his lap or either side of the couch while one of his hands strokes your calf or foot while he reads🥺
But also him coming in and giving us recommendations and we do the same? Like a cute little bookclub just for us?😭
But also him being smarmy enough to corner us in one of the quieter aisles and slip his hand down our pants or beneath our skirt while we tell him to stop, that people can see— and he’s just like “I dunno who you think you’re fooling, I know you ain’t sold a single book in this aisle since the 90s sweetheart.”
Shindou is a calculating and sneaky motherfucker and I love it.
