hi, i'm really really sorry to ask, especially since i've just come off hiatus, but would it be possible for me to extend said hiatus? there's been a lot going on for me irl recently and family member of mine passed away earlier this weekend, so i'm not sure if i'll be able to post before the activity check. i totally understand if this isn't possible, so if not, i'll be excited to return with blanche and moon in the (hopefully) near future !!
Oh, we’re so sorry about your family; we’ll extend your hiatus until 1/16.

Morty always considered that half of his job was when he goes out and investigate supernatural incidents. Being a Gym Leader was fulfilling and all, but there was just a stronger sense of it when he gets to help spirits move on. This was something only a handful of people can do and he was included in that statistic. His abilities does not make him a freak, but rather it was a means to help ‘people’ one last time.
Which was why he was willing to make these trips. Putting up an ad that offered his services on the web does attract all sorts of folk, from the trolls to the crazy, but then there would be the occasional messages that really caught his attention. While he can’t guarantee that it was truly the act of a spirit just from reading through, if it brought up enough points of interest, he would consider the request. Then it was a matter of finding the right time to go there.
This time, one such request brought him to the northern region of Sinnoh. A nice, cold place that he’d fit in right away. Morty figured that if things happened smoothly, he’d have some time to explore a place or two in this region. It was the weekend, so it wouldn’t interfere with his duties anyway. He had two Gym Trainers act as his proxy in the mean time. They were plenty tough on their own, thus he could move freely without much worry.
His destination was Route 209, the area where the Lost Tower resided. Places that as a Pokemon’s final resting ground was just a hot spot for spirits, but apparently this time around, the requester claimed that it was the spirit of his departed Magmar that was causing disturbances. They swore that they could see glimpses of Magmar’s spirit wandering about, bringing about a bit of a haunted feel -- well, more than the usual -- to the area.
There were the occasional instances where a Pokemon was unable to move on in peace. Their spirit would linger, be it in their alive state or had morphed into a mysterious black figure. Often times, they just needed a nudge into the right direction. Hopefully, he’d be able to do so peacefully without the need to battle. No need to cause more pain to both trainer and Pokemon.
His trip to Route 209 wasn’t too troublesome, but when he stepped into the area, he felt something entering his senses. It was distracting in the sense that he felt a culmination of a lot of spiritual energy coming from somewhere down the route. It was different from the energy that usually came from burial grounds. This was concentrated, so either an entity of its own or it was attached to a human.
Being both wary and curious, Morty walked further down the road, keeping his senses peeled on the signature. He was getting closer until his eyes zeroed in on an individual. Based from the spiritual energy that was wafting off from this person, he found his guy.
Morty didn’t immediately approached, instead he observed from afar, trying to figure out what was happening exactly.
I'm available to analyse UBR's pokémon, if you wish. (Blanche is ready to go!)
Hey there, Blanche! It’s good to see another part of the GO crew making their way to our sunny shores of Undella Bay!
We’ve certainly got a load of breathtaking Pokemon over to the Masterlist, as well as a friend who’s very eager to reunite with you! Why don’t you go check it out?
