it's been a while since we met (Editor Shimkey). I wanted to make an edit of Akshaye's portrayal of Rehman. (I called it aura farming on an industrial level while discussing it w my friends)
However I am lazy, very lazy. So I waited for Netflix release and someone to compile all the scenes in a scene pack. So, yeah. Enjoy
this is different from my usual shitposts so I'm not tagging moots who liked the previous video.

I just watched tangled and I have some thoughts. Specifically about the you were my new dream thing.
Dreams are one of the underlying themes in the movie. Be it Rapunzel's dream to watch the lanterns, or Eugene's dream of having enough wealth and riches to be free and do whatever he wants to do.
And the naivete of Rapunzel's dream moves the thugs too.
The set up right before this scene. Of
"What will you do now once you've accomplished the lifelong dream of yours?"
"You find a new one"
And the Chekov's gun is fired in this scene
And goddamn it if the 2 idiots aren't ready to sacrifice their lives and freedoms for their new dreams.
I really really really liked the movie. And somewhat unrelated thoughts I had under the cut.
Gothel is a b*tch. I'd say she's the perfect example of a gaslighter. If you find someone in your life behaving that way, RUN.
Once Rapunzel tells Eugene that she likes Eugene more than Flynn, you can see the gears turning in his mind (i.e., him realising his new dream)
Eugene might say he's got the smolder
But it's Rapunzel who's got it
The transition from Maximus you ass to Maximus you ass (affectionate) is real.
Pascal going red and π«£ is really adorable.
Frying pans (Skillet) is the best weapon there is.
The movie also serves as a good example for abusive parenting. The mood swings Rapunzel has during the first time she got out of the tower is disheartening really.
My ending thoughts
The movie is really well made with great callbacks and continuity. Watch it if you haven't already. Don't be an idiot like I was
