『 ✗ 』 › Her daystarted off as per routine.
And by day, she really meant the start of her morning. Because the rest of the day was not routine.
The first oddity of the day was when ' Trinity Balara ' (how on Earth did they get her birth name?) won a trip around the world. Even after various protests-- by her-- about the use of the wrong name and the lack of probability of her ever winning something so ridiculously material, the reporter insisted that she had won fair-and-square. To be fair, the plane tickets did look real, but the tarot card seemed out-of-place. Whatever, I'm already late for work, I don't care! And with that, she rushed out of her apartment and, though she had heels, attempted to sprint.
After which came her second oddity; her heel broke after a dog charged at her, and the shoes were kindly replaced by the owner of Prada. Now, Thana didn't bother herself with indulgence of shoes, but even she was aware that those were quality shoes. Expensive shoes, for that matter.
❝Thana, what on Earth-- you're almost never late!❞
❝I know, Mai, but this morning started off... weird. Really, really weird. So get off my case.❞
Again and again, the oddities bombarded her like no other. Third came a date with a rather-attractive coworker, and it went... fairly well, except for when Thana freaked out after he touched her. Embarrassed at her reaction, she instantly distanced herself when the fourth oddity came; a famous chef making her a gorgeous cake that even Thana couldn't find the heart to eat.
Finally, finally, she could go home and rest. The day was packed with good things happening-- too many things, if there were such a thing. Then the same dog came, and she tried to make peace with it when her room exploded. A quick and sharp banter with her coworker revealed that she was supposed to be dead-- and that scared her. Thana couldn't die, not when she knew there were unfixed mistakes in her life. This prompted her to bargain for ten more days, and choose the black-haired demon (Shiki, his name was?) as the one to watch over her. From what she saw, he seemed entirely uninterested in watching her, and that was exactly what she needed.
But what on Earth was with the whole ' eyes ' thing? Sure, his eyes were pleasing to look at, but was something supposed to happen? Gods, she didn't care! The confusing situation ended soon enough and they went to the demons' house, where Thana stood awkwardly.
❝A--And where the hell is my room?❞
