Not really one for “sequels” but I guess that’s what I have to call this. Will and I had so much fun with the Sad Will character we had to revisit him when I went to hang out in Panama. Shot in the remote village of Kalu Yala, our hero Sad Will finds himself placed in completely new surroundings, yet unable to shake his feelings of sad.

2nd of 3 short films in this series. 

Short that’ll make more since in the context of the other 2 shorts coming after it.

A short film that my friend Brandon and I randomly collaborated on one day. We wrote an outline together then I tightened everything up in a 3 page script. All of Hannah’s line were improvised; We just told her to be prepared to bitch about Brandon. This was the only film I’ve made where the main character doesn’t talk (something very outside of my comfort zone.) I also think this is my best looking short film as I put much more effort into overall shot design and lighting than usual.

My first short that’s more than one scene in quite some time. I missed filming in Savannah after being away from it for so many months, so I filmed this to show off a lot of the pretty parts of Savannah in a humorous way. The monologue through was all improvised with Will laying on the bed talking directly to the camera. He could not have been any more perfect.

This movie, I feel, is most representative of the movies I want to make. It has a bunch of wonderfully improvised dialogue with really great performances, and  a relatable story. I have always watched movies as something to help me feel not alone. With this film, I wanted other people to have that feeling.

This was a fun little video we made at Plan-It-X fest in 2014. I brought my camera gear just in case any of the bands wanted to film a music video. We came up with this idea instead, and it was hilarious.
