“Ah, then…” he had so many questions about what paper work was. Could he watch? He wanted to learn. Especially if it was something humans could do too. Maybe he could learn to do it himself! The thought was exciting. But the vampire had shut him down; it was clearly the end of that conversation.
“Everyone has been giving me such wonderful welcoming gifts,” Kasumi said happily. “I greatly appreciate it, Mr. Stanislav!”
He turned to Kiki at the mention of finding things for his room. “But.. I don’t have a room yet? Although if you would allow me, I would appreciate putting some decorations in the room you have lent me. I do quite like the apartment.” The angel looked curiously at Stan and back to Kiki at the mention of house plants. “You keep tiny gardens? That’s adorable! I would like to see the tiny garden!” He adored the idea of having a small area for plants, unlike the large magical gardens of Eden.
“Can we decorate it with space stuff? Oh– maybe the equations for quantum theory! Or– or space-time cones!!” he said excitedly. “Space-time cones are so pretty!”
Stanislav tuned into the conversation, though he didn’t look up from his phone screen. Checking various emails, responding--re-scheduling as well--he felt Kiki’s hand make way to his thigh; though he didn’t avert her touch. After all, she knew about his identity, and she was the only person he was willing to trust to touch him.
It wasn’t until Kiki addressed him when Stanislav spoke up, though he refused to look away from his work at hand. “Hm? The plant is doing quite well, actually. It certainly sets itself apart from the rest of my decor...a splotch of yellow within a sea of monochrome.” The vampire paused, eyes narrowing as he began to tap away on his phone screen.
“And must you chastise my palette?” Though clearly, Stanislav understood that Kiki was half-joking. “But no, it’s merely a small potted plant of Lilium--beautiful flowers--I couldn’t fit a garden in my office. Nor would I want to.”
Perking up as Kasumi thanked him, the vampire actually looked up from his phone and gave a small head bow of acknowledgement. “You’re most certainly welcome, Mister Kasumi. What kind of LSA official would I be if I neglected a new resident...” He mumbled the last part, but went back to looking at his phone.
As the topic of conversation switched to that of space and cake decoration, Stanislav knew he had no other words. He continued to look to his phone, sorting through work. It helped him to relax, and gain some sort of semblance of peace from having to deal with the rowdiness that seemed to emerge when Kasumi and Kiki were near eachother. Oh, god...and if Garridan were dragged into this too--discard the thought.
She seems happy to hear that the plant was doing well, but pursed her lips in annoyance at Stans remaining focus to his screen. Focusing her gaze back on the angel she smiled at his enthusiasm. “Yes silly, you can decorate the room however you want I don’t mind! and I’d love to have a mini garden I had a gorgeous garden back home.” She sticks her tongue out at Stans response to her once again taking cheap shots at his awful interior. Since his attention seemed to be elsewhere she pushed to tease the vampire some more. “His office is too small for a garden which is why his house is where the garden will be! You can definitely come visit once I’m done with it” though she hadn’t a clue what the vampires home even looked like. She could already picture in her mind how empty and monotonous it would be.
Looking a bit confused once Kasumi began spouting out about certain space related things to decorate with. She pulls out her phone and googles up what those terms meant. Her face twisting in confusion as she attempts to process what exactly she was looking at. She looks up from her phone screen seeing the excitement on the angels face and then looks back down. “It’s very....interesting but I’m going to be honest I have no idea what any of this means. You seem to know though! So you can help me. Have you ever been to space? You seem to know a lot about it. Oh if you have been do you know if aliens exist?! I would love to befriend an alien, how cool would that be?”
