This girl right here is the most amazing person! This week we celebrated her turning 15. She has a wealth of knowledge. We talked about politics, death, LBGTQ, SJW (social justice warriors) and even covered my mindless reality TV. We watched the R Kelly documentary, which launched into another in-depth conversation. I’ve never looked at her as “just a kid”. I show her respect and never discount her for being a kid. I apologize when I’m wrong and I own my mistakes. Just because I’m her Mom doesn’t mean I know it all. She makes me a better person. She has friends of all walks of life. Money and labels don’t impress her. She’s not a label snob and would chose a vintage thrift store find over a Nordstrom buy any day. I love when she gets on her soapbox.
