HAPPY BIRTHDAY, @lazyneonrabbitt !!!

“Christ, pup!” Daryl held Rose by the scruff, her short legs flailing while the most tiny, amusing growls came in abundance. “Lil’ gremlin.” He said fondly.
“Hunter, no!” With Willow on her hip, Tabby intercepted the little chonker just before his paws could immerse themselves into the cake she had spent hours making—chocolate free, of course. Now sporting a pup on each side, the redhead looked at Daryl. They both looked a mess. Planning a surprise party with werewolf pups running around in fierce determination to leave havoc in their wake had proven to be exhausting. “She should be here any time now.”
“She ain’t far. Almost here.” Daryl stated coolly, lowering Rose to the floor. Her paws barely touched the cool wood before she was off, undoubtedly set on chewing the couch or climbing the curtains.
“How do you know?” With a bemused smirk, Daryl tapped his nose. “Oh, right.”
“She’s here.” He beckoned Tabby over with a languid gesture, curling an arm around her waist while they waited for the door to open. Tabby had shooed Sherry away with a basket to collect berries for a dessert she was supposedly going to try for them later. The latter seemed oblivious enough, probably forgetting her own birthday.
“I think I got enough.” Sherry was looking down at the basket, already holding it up for inspection as she crossed the threshold.
“Surprise!” Tabby shouted, mirroring the smile Daryl donned for his birthday girl.
Sherry blinked, once. Twice. Her eyes filled to the brim with tears before they shifted, lips pressing tightly together around a smile as she looked past her lovers. Tabby and Daryl shared a look before realization dawned on them, both expressions shifting into fond defeat.
Behind them, three pups were covered in homemade frosting, the cake disaster spread across the table. Daryl groaned and covered his face with a hand while Tabby sighed.
Sherry was already stepping forward to pull them both into a tight embrace. Sniffling against Daryl’s chest while smoothing Tabby’s unruly curls. “Best birthday ever.” She giggled, feeling one kiss to the crown of her head and another to her cheek.
“Guess I’ll need those berries after all.”
