everyone in the world ive been focusing on a lot lately

been just refering to it as “what’s a man to a god” bc it fits and i needed a group tag like i have for yali’s world. shortened to “wamtag”, it works

it’s got a storyline that i’m still working on

i thought about some backstory stuff going on in macks world while i was chillin in the car a lot today and i came up with some things so im just gonna ramble ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

shep and shai both had their towns destroyed by large ethereal creatures, except that shepreer’s town was destroyed when he was really young and shai’s town was very much more recent. they sort of bonded over this for a very short amount of time before shai left and joined up with cin; this is why ridge and shep argue a lot nowadays - they both disagreed on what should be done about shai’s town being attacked. shepreer sided with shai in wanting to help them but ridge was the leader and was like Nah.

shai got really bitter and upset and was susceptible to cin’s way with words when he found him, cin insisted they were one in the same since when he was younger cin was ignored and shot down by many of the people around him for some of the science projects he was working on at the time. he was doin all these Neat Experiments and wanted approval from people (friends, family, anyone he knew) but all anyone ever did was make fun of him or say things like “just ignore him he’ll go away”. eventually he glitched out and got really angry and bitter as well and now he’s totally bent on making everyone see how great he can be, even though him being great involves some Not So Great things.

so shai teams up with cin. and cin’s been busy building some henchmen (mostly some bots that maintain his facility but some are dangerous) and also “summoning” new ones by dropping these crystalline type things at seemingly random locations (tho really they’re not). anyone who touches them/picks them up w/o the right equipment has like the top and bottom half of the crystal absorbed into them so it leaves u with a useless, powerless orb of unknown substance and seemingly unknown origin. theyre generally bright glowing pink and they turn white-ish when used. this is what easton’s team is tracking and after but they get sidetracked when they hit a snag and run into mack, so ridge goes back to tracking the crystals with his team while easton’s team’s mission is switched while they take care of whatever happened out in scenic nowhere on a robotic bull farm.

my point is that cin convinces shai to touch a crystal thats a bit different than the others. cin thinks he can control shai through emotions, so he doesn’t bother Fully brainwashing him into a mindless henchman; it’s just enough to wipe a few of his memories (mostly the good ones). shai also gains some vague powers through this such as minor object “manipulation” (he can levitate small objects that are nearby and like chuck them at some good speeds but he cant levitate anything huge) and his touch when his hand is glowing generally burns you pretty badly and could also inflict some sort of poisoning.

and on the other side easton was like “frick that” and got his own weird tattoo and then took his team and left (thats super general and not actually how/why they left but u know)

they still stay in contact bc they work for the same “organization” if it can be called that but they rarely see each other
