The priestess’ fears changed with the years. Some she outgrew with the time and experience, others stayed rooted and perhaps she is not even aware of them, not consciously.
When she was a child the first fear she remembers very well was that of fire. Fire magic was used for most rituals related to Elgar’len, it was tradition that the youngest to learn how to make small tricks with the magic for the festivals in His honour. One of those tricks was for the kids to make the form of a dragon with small lights over their skins, but that was not all. They were also taught how to spit fire. When she was younger, it would not be uncommon for her and the other children to have burn marks all over their skins from a training session gone wrong.
The fear that has stayed with her for the longest is from her nightmares and having to sleep. Since she can remember ( and considering she has started using blood magic when she was very very young ) she has had problems falling asleep because the nightmares never stopped and prevented her from resting. With the years the nightmares have been worse, episodes of sleep walking started happening where she acted out against the nightmares ( more often than not hurting those around her ). She eventually started sleeping as far from others as possible, and when that was not possible she learnt to put runes around the place that she rested to prevent her from leaving its limits. The spell was made in a way that only herself, when conscious, was able to break it.
There was a time where she feared the Gods the same way that she hated them. When joining Falon’din’s temple out of desperation she learnt that the Gods were not to be feared and that they protected them even from themselves.
She fears all demons ( this includes spirits and other entities from the fade ). The priestess doesn’t see a difference between them all, they are all called it or a variation of the word monsters. ( there are very few exceptions to this ). They are probably the only people that have never left her but even if she could she would not be able to say how tired she is of hearing them. She wished that she had their persistence. This fear is mostly turned into anger as soon as it starts forming in her chest.
Fear is easier to deal with when you’re angry. Always.
