#SandraBland #SayHerName In this season of celebration & truth-telling, I want to call attention to this beautiful Light of a woman. I heard about her for the 1st time just after the initial bystander video of her arrest came out & questions about her death began to swirl. I came to my conclusions immediately, it was all so clear to me. So, I was in a LOT of pain. I then learned about other women whom this has recently happened to - #KindraChapman #JasmineWright #ShenequeProctor #KimberleeRandleKing, and I strengthened my resolve to do MY work to help affect change. I spent most of yesterday & last night reliving that pain, as I watched the longer dashcam video of her arrest that was released. It IS horrifying. I don't even know what happened in the jail cell, there are so many horrendous possibilities. For me, the outrage of the injustice & the lack of respect for her human life was shown at the moment of the arrest, when her rights were being stripped from her one by one, moment to moment. She knew them. She fought for them. And for that, she was fatally punished. Death/suicide, this baby is gone. And she shouldn't be. I urge you to please watch the video. Please research the facts about the law. Please protect your spirits & stay away from all of the horrifying misinformation & doctored photos being used to further traumatize us. I ask you to go within & connect to the truth you know about life. I ask you to use your critical minds. And then take one step, however big or small, to act & affect REAL change. Don't discount your contribution. You have the power to transform this world. And it's vital that we each use the gifts we have to do this. I'm staying up later, doing my part. I'm gathering forces.
