St.Bart Pathology Lab - Hallway
Sherlock: When are you planning to tell me, Molly?
Molly: (Looked everywhere but at him) Tell you? About what, Sherlock?
Sherlock: (Narrowed his eyes) Isnât it obvious? Your pregnancy with my child.
Molly: You knew?!!âŠâŠOf course, you knewâŠwho am I to fool the famous âSherlock Holmesâ.
Sherlock: So you are going to tell me, are you not?
Molly: (Simpered when seeing his serious expression) WellâŠ.I have been considering it for quite sometimes but have not yet made up my mind. (Shrugged) I suppose I donât need to worry about you knowing anymoreâŠ.
Sherlock: (Frowned) You are in your sixteenth week and you have not yet made up your mind?!! Bloody Hell, Molly!!! I am the father of your child!!!
Molly: (Eyes welled up) Please donât yell at me! I am just not sure if you want anything to do with the baby, Sherlock. We are not even together. Everything which happened that night wasâŠjustâŠjust (Inhaled sharply but finally sobbed) OhâŠI hate the bloody hormones!
Sherlock handed her his handkerchief. Molly mumbled her gratitude, blowing her nose and trying to wipe away her tears. The consulting detective did not know how to react to the situation though. He quietly stood close to her, waiting for his pathologist to calm down. Molly leaned into him, resting her forehead against his chest. He awkwardly but gently patted her back, trying to soothe her.
Some scientists and lab squad walked past them with funny expression on their faces but Sherlock did not care. He held her petite form protectively as she hid her face in his coat. After some good minutes, Molly finally found her composure again.
Molly: WellâŠwhere were weâŠOhâŠthe reason that I have not yet tell you about my childâŠ
Sherlock: (Promptly corrected her) âOurâ childâŠ
Molly: (Rolled her eyes) Alright, âourâ child is that we are not even together or anything. What happened between us was the effects of the aphrodisiac pills that your brother drugged you with. You were not your fully selfâŠand I wasâŠ
Sherlock: You were forced against your will. (sighed heavily) I know, Molly. I am terribly sorry for what I did to you.
Molly: You said that a million times already, Sherlock. And about that night, (blushed) wellâŠI was as much drugged as you are. I donât blame you so donât you dare blame yourself again.
Sherlock: (Grumpily) If I can get my hands on Sherrinford, I swear to you, I will bloody kill him!!
Molly: (Warmly smiled) You will have to get in line then.
Sherlock grinned faintly in response but suddenly felt sick. The genius detective had to run in one lurch to the toilet down the hall.
St.Bart Pathology Lab - Mollyâs office
Sherlock sat limply on one of the lab stools and closed his eyes, resting his head on the cold surface of the lab table. Molly made him some earl gray tea with lemon and honey to calm his stomach then gently mopped the back of his neck and face with a warm washcloths.
Molly: Should I get John to come down here? Have him run some tests on you a bit so we know if you have gotten just a cold or anything more serious?
Sherlock: (opened his eyes and softly smiled) No need, Molly. I know exactly what I have. I have had it for months.
Molly: Hmm?? Really? What is it?
Sherlock: Couvade SyndromeâŠ
Molly: What??!!âŠ..You mean âSympathetic Pregnancyâ⊠Donât tell me that you have had morning sickness for sixteen weeks, Sherlock!
Sherlock: Not exactly. It started on the forth week of your pregnancy and has never gone away since.
Molly: And I have had nothing but the bloody mood swings and weird craving?!
Sherlock: AhâŠand about thatâŠ
Sherlock took a tupperware box out of his inside coat pocket and handed it to her. Molly carefully opened it and found some coconut cakes with cream cheese frosting that made her drool.
Sherlock: Mummy made them. She said every Holmesâ lady would have a weird craving for coconut. (Somehow proudly) I suppose this wonât be exceptional in your case.
Molly quickly swallowed the mouthful of cakes and drank Sherlockâs tea to wash them down.
Molly: Mummy?!! You mean your parents knew?
Sherlock: Mycroft pointed out to them last month when they paid me a visit. By the way we have leveraged your security level so you are looked after the whole time.
Molly: Mycroft? Security level?!!!
