But here’s the thing: It makes me happy. There’s a million justifiable things that people will say to prove Sherlock’s love for John.

And the Sherlolly fandom has a million things as well they point out to prove their plot line.

Just as the Sherlock/Irene shippers.

And even the “Sherlock is an asexual little sweet potato, stop trying to set him up with people” fandom.

Anyone could choose any narrative and grasp at whatever makes sense to support their internal understanding of the universe.

And each fandom has ways to contradict the other one’s theories because there’s a million different ways to look at everything- not just this show- e v e r y t h i n g

So it’s stupid to try to convince yourself that the way you see it is the only way it could ever be interpreted no matter what source of media you’re r looking at.

So bottom line just like what you like and respect other people’s opinion. This is so basic I don’t know how it’s still such a revelation for some people who continue to argue over this stuff pointlessly even though they know at this point they’ll never see eye to eye.
